The Rhythm Purists

The RHYTHM PURISTS consists of 2 experienced producers, Djs and Events. With a combined experience of 30 years in production, including live gigging and event’s promotions. DAVE ANDREWS has been involved in the music industry since his first signing in 1991 with Cleveland City. He progressed from there to many labels consisting of Formation Records, Vinyl Solution, Ouch Records, Serious Records to name a few. He also was the founder of Earthworm Records and released well known tracks such as DEF JAM (speed garage anthem) and PLANETIZE (lisa lashes anthem). 1999 saw the birth of WOW RECORDS where he met Darren Bayton, the second half of the RHYTHM PURISTS. He has also been involved in the music industry since 1994. Together they started on the Dj curcuit as GEMINI and enjoyed many residencies. Darren s success came back in 1996 from the PINK BOMB stable under the northern QUAD Communications Label and had massive success with many trance killers. Indica to name but a few was one of their biggesttracks to date making it to many compelation albums globally. Pink Bomb consisted of Darren, Rob Prestion and Matt Booker aka Starskie. Now as the RHYTHM PURISTS and under thier own label DIGITAL INSOMNIA RECORDINGS LTD, they plan to release many tracks this year and push out worldwide the RHYTHM PURISTS sound. They also have the backing of DIGITAL JAXX in New York with one release called BASSIFY. Another release under NINE Records in Chicago called OUTTA MY LIFE, including remixes from Chicago s Mike Gillenwater (founder of The Funk Monkeys along side Paul Anthony) Bryan Jones, Paul Anthony and ZXX.
