When I started this project, I didn’t know I was even starting a project. After playing in bands for years since high school, I stopped composing and playing completely. It was only after I started my career as a patent lawyer did I experiment with music again. Working late and coming home late to an empty house every night took it’s toll on me and I ended up spending my nights messing around in my home studio. Eventually, that experimentation resulted in countless ideas, unfinished songs, and a few songs I felt were good enough to finish.
What you are holding in your hands is the product of over 3 years of those late night songwriting sessions. None of this music was ever written with the intention of pleasing anyone but myself. So, if you think it’s not commercial and full of catchy hooks, you’re absolutely right. This CD was written entirely in the late hours of the night and I think it is best listened to when you’re in the mood to just chill out.
